Patrons are encouraged to dress in "hippie" garb – beads and headbands – prepared to have a really
good time!
On the program will be a Neil Diamond medley (Sweet Caroline", "Hello Again"
and "Coming to America"), "What Have They Done to my Song, Ma, "Celebration," and a foot-tappin'
Beach Boys Medley, among others. Rumor has it that Sonny and Cher will be making a rare appearance. Capt. Brandon Porter will be one of the featured vocalists along with Mr. Benny Contreras, both accomplished musicians
with extensive musical backgrounds.
Capt. Porter obtained a music degree from Webster University in Missouri
and went on to St. Louis University School of Law where he received his Juris Doctor Degree. He is currently
an officer in the USAF Judge Advocate General Corps at Vandenberg AFB.

on stage for over 25 years and has performed in such places as Lake Tahoe, Atlantic City and throughout California.
He sings and plays percussion with his own band, "Black Hills Gold" and is a regular member of Bill Agin's
"Territorial Law," a renowned group that often performs throughout the Santa Ynez Valley. Ben is a
former Pops Orchestra president and currently serves as vice-President of the board.
This
will be the final season concert for the Pops as it takes its four-month break before starting once again in October.

Tonya Romano Schultz, PhD, is a lady of many talents: Educator, accomplished artist in the Lompoc arts community, marriage and family
counselor, psychotherapist, and author of her personally illustrated recent book, You Can Balance Your
Life. In that book she speaks about her passion for art in her “Note to the Reader”
where she says: “In recent years, I have taken up painting, which has truly “made my heart sing”.
Dr. Kathleen Griffin, M.D. of “The
G Spa” of Santa Barbara considers Dr. Schultz “a remarkable sage with a magical sparkle to her smile.”
The quality of her art in “Balance” is clearly evident and that same talent graces the cover of this program as
well as the posters advertising this concert. Dr. Schultz’s art is available locally at the Cypress Gallery and will be on exhibit in the Lompoc Public Library’s
Grossman Gallery in October. Tonya and her husband have lived in Lompoc, for many years. They have two daughters,
three granddaughters, and two wonderful sons-in-law.
