Lompoc's beloved Pops Orchestra once again performs for both faithful patrons and newcomers its annual Christmas concert on Sunday, December 6th at the First United Methodist Church in Lompoc, located at 925 North F Street. There will be two performances... a Matinee at 4:30 p.m., and a 7:00 p.m. Evening Performance The audience will be treated to both spiritual and secular favorites - everything from "The Christmas Song," "Sleigh Ride" and "Rudolph, The Red Nosed Reindeer"... to "Silent Night" and the "Hallalujah Chorus" (from The Messiah). Tonya Edwards is the featured soloist for the evening, and will be singing "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" and "I Lift My Eyes." She will also help lead the audience in the traditional sing-a-long at the conclusion of the concert. Heather Power, an accomplished harp player currently residing in Santa Barbara, will be making her first appearance with the orchestra. The contributing artist is Jan Manfrina, whose lovely creation is on the cover of the program. The original artwork will be raffled off at the end of the 7:00 p.m. performance. Ticket prices are $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. A discounted price of $5 is also offered to all full-time students of all ages with Student ID card shown at the door.
