Diane Siminski was one of 25 strolling violinists who entertained at Oprah Winfrey’s 50th birthday reception and dinner at an estate in Montecito. Ms. Siminski reflects, “It was a delight and honor to perform with the Monsignoir Strings, an incredibly talented group of musicians from the Los Angeles area, and it goes without saying that it was a breathtaking thrill to be performing before such a talented group of people”.
At the age of four, Diane was already begging for a violin of her own. She was finally allowed to begin violin lessons when she turned eight. By the time she was 12, she was already a member of the San Gabriel Youth Symphony. After graduating Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music Degree, she began a whirlwind musical career, oftentimes performing for others in the music or movie industry, including Russ Morgan, Nat King Cole, John and Bo Derek, Cole Porter, and Michael Jackson.
Locally, Diane has been a member of the PCPA Pit Orchestra, the recording orchestra of PCPA, the San Luis Symphony, the Santa Maria Symphony, the Philharmonic Santa Barbara Symphony, the Santa Barbara Civic Light Opera, and the Lompoc Pops Orchestra.
In 1997, Diane co-founded the Lompoc Pops Orchestra and frequently handles the position of Concertmaster for the Lompoc Pops.
